Hello Scott,
The V15 is a great boat for two sporty adults. However, for one only,
if you only use the main sail the boat would feel pretty unbalanced
and not that fun, and with both sails up it will be slow to tack.
Also, the ideal combined crew weight in the wind conditions around
Treasure Island is arguably around 280lbs, so, depending on your
weight you might be overpowered with one person only and two sails in
many conditions.
Also, depending on your weight and water conditions it may be
virtually impossible to righten the boat with one person only if you
capsize.
