What a night and what a contrast from last week! We had 30 boats racing on the Cove - not bad for early April. A few highlights:
- The Social co-Chairs of Curtis, Linda, and Natasha did an OUTSTANDING job with kegs from Marin Brewing and veggie and beef skewers on the grille. Lots of homemade fresh cut salsa to go with the chips. Clearly they raised the bar from last week's social activities and are the ones to beat for Best Social Chair.
- Outstanding RC work from Team Super. They had their A game on with 9 races between the two fleets.
- Ramp traffic did a better job that last week. Remember - don't queue up for the ramp until you are ready to go. The next team in line should assist with dollies on the ramp.
- Get ready for Super Thursday # 1 coming up on May 8th. Kegs and great post-race BBQ sponsored by Svendsen's Marine. Plan on racing and staying late. We will have double bonus points.
- Races were mostly single laps except for the wise choice by the PRO to send us on a double lap for the final race. Warm temps, 8-14 knots of breeze all night, and a phenomenal sunset on the final long beat of the last race. It does not get much better than that. Congrats to Ken & Rebecca for another victory.
- Finally - Great job to nearly everyone last night for doing circles. Most of the pile ups came at the weather mark as the first weather legs were a little short. Should the first beat be longer making the final beat shorter? There was very little yelling and the boats in the wrong did the right thing. This is what is about - keep it up gang.
