The first every Bay View Boat Club V15 Invitational was a blast. We had perfect weather both days, a great dinner and KABOOM Sat. Night. John Super and the BVBC race committee set a brilliant course to give us good beats and runs despite the strong cross current. The windward mark was set down current so you could actually go on Starboard for a bit, and the offset a few hundred yards upcurrent of that so you could go on Starboard again on the run. The power reach between the weather and offset was really fun as well.
Harrison and Kristin were leading after day one but Adam and Linda were just better enough on Sunday to get into first and stay there. The fleet was very competitive in general, one mistake could put you in back in a hurry.
Many thanks to BVBC for hosting a fabulous event - well worth the effort of bringing the boat over. |
