A typical high wind summer evening. The wind switched from appearing to be dying at 6:30 to fresh breeze at the first start just before 7. I'm not sure what caused the delayed start as we were out on the water a little late. A few boats retired early due to challenging conditions and/or mast-stuck-in-the-mud incidents. I will offer encouragement to them to stick with it and crank all their settings tight.
There was some real racing at the front of the fleet with a 3 way tie after the 6th race. Fortunately the race committee was keeping track and noticed this and purposely ran a 7th race despite the tired group.
