There was not much evidence of an oil spill on the racecourse. The water was clean and the breeze was on. With no Supers, we ran races off the dock with the help of Margaret Wilson, who also sailed one race.
Even though the water was clean, perhaps the premise of pollution gave the man from the Garden State a psychological advantage. Virtually his whole state is a superfund site (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Superfund_sites.svg) and he grew up sailing in the Toms River (http://www.tr-teach.org/cause/pollute.html).
For all of you who didn't make it out. You missed a great night.
