8 races on Saturday- light and shifty, cocktails and snacks in the clubhouse and nice dinner in Pt Reyes Station. Unfortunately Nick's sucessful karate chops on the firewood brought the quiet hour enforcement, so our bonfire was subdued. After waking up beneath huge redwoods and next to a little stream, we started early to race 6 more races in stronger, yet still shifty winds, and sunshine. There was heavy competition at both ends of the fleet, and Tomales brought a welcome change from the stiff and steady San Francisco Bay breeze. |
