A very unusual day: warm, light air day, with breeze out of the southeast. Everyone in the fleet dug deep into their bags to find alternatives to their usual wetsuits and spray tops.
The race committee did a good job in setting a course just inside the breeze line and mostly outside the shipping channel. I say "mostly" because a strong flood current kicked in on the left side of the course, which meant it paid to bang the left corner on pretty much every weather leg.
Pete/Sarah and Kevin/Neha showed great consistency to tie for first, with just two points separating third, fourth and fifth. Thanks to social chairs Eric Raffini and Dylan Barlow for the great pulled pork sandwiches.
