Svendsen's Thursday Night #11 at Treasure Island Sailing Center | June 12 |
Story |
ok- finally got 'em posted. water and laptop's don't mix too well.
solid, solid night. good breeze, close, very close racing. Starboard favored course. random 38 footer anchored on the port layline didn't help anyone. had to play middle on a long starboard and then hope for breeze- not even a port shift- to make it over to the mark. Downhill, ths trick was stay in the middle. If you went to the north/docks you got looped into the land shift and wanted to go more in. The breeze went over you and hit the guys in the middle who got to plane into the gates. Adam lowry dominated... the first part of the night. But it was Kevin & Natasha who has the consistency and speed to take night honors. Ken and Rebcca had a solid night. Elizabeth introduced herself to the fleet with a miss-the-hiking-strap-backflip on the last beat of the last race- my crews seem to have that move down! First time on the v15 and she's a solid crew. We need to get her out more. Hot dogs, sausages, beers, rebecca's 7 layer dip, famous Shane punch (called in from the east coast)- thank you social chairs! You guys might be winning the social chair award!!! Scores were miss calculated that night so a few corrections.- too much shane punch too early. let me know mistakes. l8r |
