PRO Ian McClelland used this as a test run of the inflatable marks and longer courses for Nationals. Between course setup, longer races, and everyone tinkering with their boats to get ready for the weekend, we only got three races in, but it was fantastic practice for Nationals, and a great turnout with 11 boats on the water. Steve and Claire took first, foreshadowing their weekend domination. Ian and Lauren had a strong showing with a bullet in the second race to win the tiebreaker for second place on the night.
(In case anyone was wondering, when teams race with a different sail number than usual we try to use their regular number in the posted results to make season scoring easier to track. So on this one, Alex & Jacob were using a blank sail and Andrea & Michelle used 1829, but they are listed here with their usual numbers instead.) |
